Swan Valley Wine Show 2010
The Swan Valley Wine Show 2010 was held at Caversham House on Thursday September 16th followed by the Wine Show Awards dinner also at Caversham House on Friday evening September 17th.
Over 200 wines where entered in this years Swan Valley Wine Show, a panel of expert judges including Dorham Mann, Ray Jordan, David Watson and Mark Warren awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in each class.
The Awards Dinner was a union of superb food perfectly matched with outstanding examples of the Swan Valley’s finest wines. One of many highlights of the dinner was a 1969 Talijancich Liqueur Tokay that was served with dessert.
The big winners of the 2010 Swan Valley Valley Show where Upper Reach Winery who took out the two of the major award of the night
Most Successful Exhibitor of Table Wines and also the Most Successful Exhibitor of Show with a very impressive tally of 2 gold, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.
Lilac Hill Estate also starred with the 2006 Lilac Hill Estate Verdelho taking out four trophies including
- The Best Wine of the Show
- Best Verdelho
- Best Swan Valley Table Wine
- Best Dry White Table Wine
The awards dinner this year also introduced the Icons of the Swan Valley award which has been created by The Swan Valley and Regional Winemakers Association to honour members of the Swan Valley community who have made an outstanding contribution the wine industry in the Swan Valley.
